Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced developer who takes pride in writing clean, efficient code and solving real-world problems. In this role, you'll be a key contributor to our EzEvent project. As a core member of the EzEvent team, you will help build and scale a high-traffic web application designed to handle the complexities of real-time ticketing and event management. EzEvent empowers users to host their own gatherings, manage digital storefronts for tickets, and discover local experiences. You'll tackle challenges related to high-concurrency booking systems, secure payment integrations, and location-based search optimization to ensure a seamless experience for thousands of organizers and attendees.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of EzEvent using Next.js and React.
- Help maintain and enhance our component registry system.
- Collaborate with other engineers to integrate APIs, improve performance, and refactor existing systems as needed.
- Work closely with frontend and backend teams to ensure clean separation of concerns and scalable design.
- Collaborate with Product Leaders to digest new business asks, such as implementing new features and A/B tests – utilizing concepts such as feature flagging.
- Assist in optimizing code for performance, maintainability, and accessibility. Participate in code reviews, standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant technologies and share findings with the team.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience working with .NET Frameworks.
- Experience working with REST or Graph
QL APIs. - Strong understanding of component-based architecture and best practices for reusable, maintainable UI.
- Familiarity with Git, agile workflows, and collaborative development.
- A growth mindset and a willingness to support peers.
- Building SOC 2 Compliance into applications
- Experience with PCI DSS Compliance with payment processing.
- Familiarity with headless CMS platforms like Builder.io, Contentful, or similar platforms.
- Experience integrating, and supporting data pipelines with Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager
- Experience working on multi-tenant or multi-brand sites.
- Exposure to edge computing platforms like Vercel or Cloudflare.
- Understanding of CI/CD workflows and Dev Ops practices.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring and debugging tools like Lighthouse, Sentry, or Datadog.
