Software Development Engineer - US Federal

About the Role

This role requires a security clearance at the TS/SCI w/CI Poly level. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance. An active TS/SCI w/CI Poly is preferred. The role may require on‑site presence at client locations in the DC, MD, and VA (DMV) area.

Collaborate with Product Managers and QA Engineers on functional design and analysis of requirements, design and develop a product in a metadata‑driven development environment, build and maintain robust, efficient and maintainable code using an object‑oriented framework and class modeling, solve customer‑reported issues, and mentor and learn from other team members through pair programming, code reviews, hackathons, etc.

• Security clearance at the TS/SCI w/CI Poly level; U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (active TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred)
• 5+ years of experience with UML, web application development or SaaS technologies
• 5+ years of experience with design and development using an object‑oriented language such as Java, Python, C#, C++
• 5+ years of experience designing/developing business applications
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related field or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years of experience with design and analysis of software for performance
• Collaborative teammate with good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with JSON, REST, and Graph
  
  QL is a plus
• Strong knowledge and application of key design patterns in object‑oriented development
• Experience in developing applications that prioritize usability and configurability

Base Pay Range (Primary

Location:

Reston, VA): $137,000 USD – $205,400 USD. Additional U.S. Locations: $123,900 USD – $222,000 USD. The role may be eligible for a bonus plan or role‑specific commission/bonus and annual refresh stock grants as part of the total compensation package.
