Company Overview

Docusign brings agreements to life. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity.

Using Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

As an intern on the Directory Platform team, you will partner closely with the Authentication and UX teams to advance Docusign's commitments to secure, frictionless identity experiences. The project scope will center on strengthening our passkey-based signup and account creation flows. This role will be responsible for building capabilities that reliably detect and prevent risky or invalid identity states during signup, as well as developing tools and workflows within our Directory systems to ensure user accounts are safely created, linked when using passkeys.

* Diagnose issues across distributed services such as Directory Service, Authentication APIs, and passkey enrollment flows with guidance from senior engineers

* Improve telemetry to increase observability and resilience for new and existing features

* Interpret product requirements and contribute to technical design docs for identity and signup features

* Apply solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures, API design, and resource management to build scalable and secure authentication components

* Coordinate closely with Authentication Platform, Directory, and UX partners. Seek input early, keep stakeholders unblocked, and collaborate effectively with engineers across multiple teams

* Build trust through strong ownership, reliable follow-through, and transparent communication

* Communicate progress, blockers, and design decisions clearly in both written and verbal form

* Present work during sprint rituals and know when to ask for help or escalate issues appropriately
