Senior Software Engineer – Data Management
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to be a core technical pillar of our Data Management team. Reporting to Tech Lead, you will be responsible for the hands‑on development, fine‑tuning, and scaling of our Master Data Management (MDM) and ETL ecosystems. You will take ownership of complex technical tasks, ensure code quality across the team, and help translate the Tech Lead’s architectural vision into high‑performing reality.
Responsibilities- Lead the development and deployment of complex data pipelines using AWS Glue, Python, and SQL, ensuring they meet the performance standards set by the Tech Lead.
- Act as the primary technical expert for Ataccama, configuring advanced matching, merging, and data quality rules.
- Provide daily guidance to junior developers, conducting deep‑dive code reviews to ensure best practices in Git and ETL logic.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks in Postgre
SQL queries and Glue jobs, implementing optimizations to reduce cloud costs and processing time. - Lead the team through “critical zones” (like environment refreshes or tool upgrades), ensuring Git repositories are synced and recovery plans are executed flawlessly.
- 5+ years in Data Engineering with a strong focus on ETL and AWS Cloud.
- Expertise in AWS Glue (Spark), SQS, and Lambda.
- Advanced SQL and Postgre
SQL – ability to optimize complex stored procedures and handle large‑scale data sets. - Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Hands‑on experience with Ataccama or similar MDM tools (Informatica, Reltio, etc.) is a major plus.
- Strong experience with Git (Bitbucket) workflows, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Proactive communicator who can translate technical hurdles into clear updates for stakeholders.
- Technical mentor who explains the “why” behind code and provides constructive feedback.
