Total Rewards
Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity. Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock options.

You must be authorized to work in the United States. Depending on the position we may have a preference to a specific location, but are generally open to remote work anywhere in the US.

OverviewAs a Senior Software Engineer in Transcarent’s cloud tooling team, you will build the framework to define the infrastructure as code, build the internal cloud platform to enable other engineers to create and deploy their applications and services quickly and efficiently. You will become the subject matter expert in various AWS services.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and operate cloud infrastructure:
Design, build, and maintain shared AWS-based infrastructure powering company applications and services running on ECS, EKS, and Lambda platforms. - Automate and enable self-service:
Develop infrastructure as code automation platform using Type Script and Python to automate AWS resource provisioning, enabling other teams to work independently and efficiently with AWS infrastructure. - Mentor, consult and support:
Provide tooling, guidance, and consultation to engineering teams while mentoring junior engineers to meet company standards and grow their technical expertise. Work with teams across America and Europe in different time zones. - Production data support:
Be able to provide efficient support for engineer teams which do not have production sensitive data access. - Ensure reliability and support:
Develop cloud application resiliency enabling solutions, participate in on-call rotations for AWS infrastructure issues, and serve as a subject matter expert for specific AWS domains. - Embrace collaboration:
Actively contribute as part of a globally distributed team using agile principles for self-organization and continuous improvement.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Software Engineering and Cloud Platform development roles. This includes 2+ years of senior-level experience designing and implementing complex, high-impact internal delivery platforms. You should have experience with distributed and cloud-based architecture patterns and best practices. Proven success in delivering new features to production is essential.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on serverless and containerized solutions and their orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS). Expertise in Type Script or any static-typing programming languages is required. Experience with Python programming is highly desirable. You should have a solid understanding of Cloud Formation/CDK and Terraform Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
- Experience with building infrastructure automation and seamlessly integrating these solutions into CI/CD pipelines and the software development lifecycle.
