H2 is building a next‑generation wellness ecosystem centered around a smart hydrogen inhalation device and a companion mobile application. Our hydrogen gas inhalation unit delivers therapeutic H₂ mixed with purified air, and the Inhale
H2 app will provide users with real‑time insights, session history, personalized wellness recommendations, and integrations with other personal health devices. Similar in concept to Fitbit, Oura, or Garmin.
We are a small team building a new platform from scratch and we are looking for a Lead Full‑Stack Engineer who will help define architecture, build major features, and guide future development.
Role OverviewWe’re seeking a versatile, experienced full‑stack engineer who is comfortable working across frontend, backend, mobile, and cloud architecture. You will lead development of the Inhale
H2 app and ecosystem. This role is hands‑on and leadership oriented – you will write code daily while also mentoring future hires and driving engineering best practices.
- Build the Inhale
H2 wellness app (React Native or similar) for iOS and Android - Develop responsive web features for account management and dashboards
- Implement user onboarding, authentication, and device setup flows
- Integrate with the hydrogen inhalation device over Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi
- Build telemetry systems for device status, usage logs, alerts, and sensor data
- Enable cloud sync for session data and user history
- Implement firmware update flows
- Session tracking, real‑time monitoring, and usage analytics
- Personalized insights, patterns, and wellness scoring
- Integration with Apple Health, Google Fit, and other health platforms
- Notifications and habit‑building features (reminders, streaks, progress points)
- Architect and maintain backend services and APIs
- Design data models and database schema
- Build secure, scalable cloud components (AWS)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools
- Collaborate with product and design from ideation through deployment
- Establish engineering best practices, code review processes, and documentation
- Mentor junior developers and help grow the engineering team
- Participate in planning, scoping, and roadmap discussions
- 7+ years of full‑stack engineering experience
- Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks (React / React Native preferred)
- Strong backend experience (Node.js, Python, or similar)
- Experience building and scaling mobile applications
- Solid foundation in database design and API architecture
- Comfort integrating with hardware devices (Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, or IoT protocols)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and Dev Ops best practices
- Ability to take a feature from concept to production independently
- Strong communication skills and leadership qualities
- Thrives in an early‑stage startup environment with fast iteration cycles
- Experience with health/wellness apps or wearable tech
- Background in sensor data processing or biometrics
- Experience integrating third‑party health data sources
- Prior experience in an early‑stage startup role
