We are looking for a talented Word Press Back-End Developer to join our growing team and help us build a scalable, secure, and high-performing educational platform.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and enhance the back-end of Word Press websites, focusing on custom functionality and integrations.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code to extend Word Press capabilities.
- Implement and customize plugins, as well as develop custom plugins when necessary.
- Optimize website performance, including database management, caching, and server-side optimizations.
- Ensure website security by implementing best practices and staying updated on potential vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including debugging and optimizing code.
- Proven experience as a Word Press Back-End Developer with a portfolio of custom-coded projects.
- Strong understanding of Word Press architecture, including themes, plugins, and the Word Press REST API.
- Experience with MySQL and complex database queries, optimizations, and management.
- Familiarity with Word Press coding standards and best practices for security and performance.
- Experience with APIs and third-party integrations, including custom API development.
- Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git, in a collaborative development environment.
- Experience with server management, deployment, and hosting providers.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and their impact on back-end development.
- Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration workflows.
- Experience with Word Press multisite installations and large-scale projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with Woo Commerce and custom payment gateway integrations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex tasks.
- Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest web development technologies and best practices.
