Senior Software Engineer, Warehouse Operations

Pattern is hiring a back-end focused Senior Software Engineer for our cross-dock WMS team, focusing on the core, foundational pieces of our "Shelf" platform, which powers our warehouse operations. You will work on high-impact systems that handle everything from tracking inventory to prepping products for fulfillment. This is a full-time role with a hybrid schedule in Lehi, Utah.

• Develop and maintain foundational components of our "Shelf" platform, an internal system that manages all aspects of warehouse inventory and fulfillment.
• Work with a team of front end and back end engineers and operational leaders to understand and build solutions for new projects.
• Dedicate time to hardening the software, proactively fixing root causes of recurring issues during your on-call rotation.
• Tackle a wide range of backend challenges to maintain and improve the system's scalability and stability.

• 3+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in a modern backend language like Ruby, Node.js, Java, Python, or Go.
• SQL expertise is a must, with experience in databases such as Postgre
  
  SQL.
• Experience working in AWS.
• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is a plus but not required.
• A go-getter attitude with a passion for learning and taking on new challenges.
• Proven ability to lead projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.

• You will work under the supervision of a Principal Software Engineer, collaborating with a team of front-end and back-end engineers based in the US.
• The team follows a hybrid work schedule:
  Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office, and work from home on Tuesday and Friday.
