This is a remote position.

Overview: Guidewire Insurance Now Developer / Senior Developer role focuses on platform configuration, Java-based development, integrations, production support, and Insurance Now customization.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining applications on Guidewire Insurance Now
• Configuring product definitions, rating logic, and policy lifecycle flows
• Building and troubleshooting Java-based APIs and integrations
• Supporting custom development, deployments, and issue resolution across environments
• Performing log analysis, debugging, and performance tuning
• Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders for requirements gathering
• Participating in code reviews and handling production support activities
• Managing project risks, timelines, and multiple work streams

Must-have technical skills:

• Experience with Apache Tomcat
• Hands‑on knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
• Experience using development tools like Eclipse, Intelli
  
  J IDEA, Git Hub, SharePoint, and Jira
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, log analysis, and production support capabilities

Good-to-have skills:

• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and cloud infrastructure
• Understanding of Property & Casualty insurance processes and business domain

This role is best suited for candidates with strong backend development skills, Insurance Now implementation experience, and the ability to work closely with distributed teams and business stakeholders.
