Overview

We are AI/ML scientists and engineers with deep expertise in AI/ML engineering for health care, developing AI/ML solutions across United Healthcare, Optum Financial, Optum Health, Optum Insight, and Optum Rx. Our charter includes developing and supporting an enterprise AI/ML development platform and transforming the health care journey through responsible AI/ML innovation.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Design, development, and deployment of a cloud-based platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Contribute to the technical design and development of the platform, making informed decisions on technology selection, infrastructure, and integration points
- Develop and maintain coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality and maintainable code
- Conduct code reviews and ensure the team follows coding standards and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and UI/UX designers, to ensure seamless integration and excellent user experience
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cloud technologies, AI/ML frameworks, and best practices, and share insights with the team
- Monitor and optimize the platform’s performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and responsive deployments, in collaboration with Dev Ops and infrastructure teams
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms, translating business needs into scalable applications that enhance products, workflows and decision-making
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a technical developer or similar role with a track record of delivering complex cloud-based projects
- 5+ years of experience in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) with experience in serverless architecture, microservices, and containerization
- 5+ years of experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with distributed computing frameworks
- 1+ years of experience with Gen AI, using LLMs and frameworks, including hands-on development and deployment
- 1+ years of experience with security and compliance requirements in cloud-based environments
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to propose innovative technical solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with cloud technologies and AI/ML
