RoleWe're hiring iOS Engineers across multiple teams, including Buyer Growth, Content & Navigation, Security, App Platform, and Customer Experience & Operations. We span a range of seniority levels—from mid‑level to senior and staff—aligning scope and leveling to experience and impact. Team matching happens late in the process to pair you with the team where your strengths, interests, and growth goals will have the greatest impact.
As the next iOS Engineer, you'll design and build mobile experiences and systems that sit at the heart of the seller and buyer experience—combining growth, trust, and scalability. Your work will directly shape how thousands of new sellers and buyers discover Whatnot, get started, and succeed every week.
- Develop high‑quality iOS features using Swift and Swift
UI. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, design, and backend teams to define goals, scope, and technical trade‑offs.
- Contribute to the evolution of shared mobile infrastructure and best practices across Whatnot's engineering teams.
- Uphold engineering excellence through code reviews, documentation, and thoughtful discussions that raise the bar.
Work from home or from one of our global office hubs. Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our New York, Seattle, San Francisco, or Los Angeles hub.
You- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Swift, with a deep understanding of iOS fundamentals and Swift
UI‑driven UI architecture. - Proven track record of delivering user‑facing features. You are known for shipping products and features lightning‑fast.
- Excellent product instincts. You first think about users rather than the best technical solution.
- Experience with e‑commerce or social products.
- Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks, analytics instrumentation, or growth experimentation tooling.
