Data / AI Engineer

Contract Term: 3 months, highly renewable.

Work Location:

work from home in Canada.

Key skill - Data, Azure AI Foundry Architect, Agent Development Support.

• Act hand in hand with Foundry Architect + Agent Developer for a project.
• Understand and provide hands‑on support.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure AI Foundry components: agent deployment, model endpoints, prompt flow, and custom orchestration.
• Familiarity with agentic orchestration frameworks:
  Auto Gen, Semantic Kernel, or Lang Graph in the Azure ecosystem.
• Develop and deploy agents within Azure and understand dependencies, limitations, and assumptions while designing the agentic ecosystem for the client.
• Design RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) pipelines – vector stores, embedding strategies, and index refresh.
• Build multi‑step agent design: tool use, memory, retries, guardrails, and kill‑switch patterns.
• Structure data for consumption by Foundry agents.
• Develop pipelines and data models using Azure Data Factory, Azure Fabric, and Power BI.
• Data normalization and schema design for multi‑source ingestion (structured + unstructured).
• Set up RAG infrastructure: document ingestion pipelines, chunking strategies, and embedding generation.
• Integrate vector databases such as Azure AI Search, Pinecone, or equivalent.
• Script data pipelines in Python using pandas, Polars, and data cleaning.
• Implement Azure Lakehouse architecture:
  Delta Lake, Fabric pipelines, and One Lake.
• Perform data deduplication, quality validation, and lineage tracking.
• Publish and automate refresh of Power BI datasets.
• Model and query vulnerability/security data domains with SQL.
• Use Azure Event Hub for streaming and real‑time data pipelines.
