The School of Informatics, Computing, and Cyber Systems (SICCS) offers undergraduate and graduate degrees with a focus on hands‑on learning, mentoring, and collaborative research. It serves approximately 1,200 undergraduates and 500 graduate students with about 60 faculty.
About the PositionThis part‑time faculty position involves teaching and service in computer science, computer systems engineering, and software engineering. The temporary faculty pool is continuously open and positions are filled based on student enrollment and funding.
Responsibilities Include- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science and software engineering.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline, or
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline with 3‑4 years of industry experience.
- Combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered equivalent to the above.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level.
- Experience with modern pedagogical practices and tools.
- Industry experience in software or systems engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Course development capability.
- Ability to teach in computer science.
Anticipated compensation is $2,000 per credit unit, commensurate with candidate’s qualifications and experience.
