PCEP Intern

About this Role

Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a PCEP Intern to join its high-volume, high-availability trade clearing team, working on a cloud-native, event-driven micro-services framework using GCP, AWS, Kafka and modern dev‑ops practices.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software.
• Apply design techniques and coding standards coached by senior engineers.
• Build resilient, self‑scaling, self‑healing services that enable reliable operation.
• Support production systems, including CI/CD, deployment, monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Pager Duty), and documentation.
• Write high‑quality, well‑tested code with 100% unit test coverage.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold high code‑quality standards.

• End‑to‑end ownership of what you deploy, from documentation to service‑level objectives.

Required:

• Pursuing a BA, BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 0‑2+ years of experience as a software developer or similar role.
• Ability to learn new technologies (languages, tools, frameworks) quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

• Previous internships, work experience, projects or publications that demonstrate a passion for software engineering.
• Familiarity with common design patterns.
• Interest in backend or full‑stack software development.
• Knowledge of or strong interest in financial markets.
