In this role, you will design and develop the backend systems that power large-scale AI-driven applications. You will focus on building robust, secure, and scalable architectures, optimizing databases, and improving platform performance for millions of users. The position involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to open-source projects, and implementing best practices for long-term system growth. - Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and infrastructure to support AI-driven products
- Develop and optimize SQL and No
SQL databases, ensuring efficient query patterns and high performance - Refactor and improve existing systems to reduce technical debt and enhance maintainability
- Collaborate with infrastructure, Dev Ops, and cross-functional teams to ensure robust deployment and monitoring strategies
- Contribute to open-source projects and integrate cutting-edge technologies into production systems
- Establish and enforce best practices for architecture, coding standards, and team workflows
- Focus on reliability, security, and scalability to meet the needs of millions of users
- Proven experience building and deploying mission-critical REST/RPC backend services
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience designing scalable data pipelines
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, deployment pipelines, and system-level debugging
- Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to deliver elegant, maintainable solutions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with distributed, cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of infrastructure best practices, security, and performance optimization
- Competitive salary: $230,000 — $290,000 USD, based on experience and internal leveling
- Flexible PTO with U.S. holidays and a week shutdown in December
