This position is located in Irvine, CA and requires on‑site work Monday through Thursday, with work from home on Friday.

About the Role

You will serve as a Technical Team Lead within the Payments team, managing 3–5 engineers. The team processes approximately $6 billion annually across ACH, cards, and digital wallets, and handles 1099‑K information returns on behalf of our customers. The work is operationally critical and directly tied to the financial lives of both property managers and residents. You will have a direct impact on highly visible  web applications that touch millions of users and will continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements to improve our products.

Responsibilities
  • Scope, refine, and translate feature requests for the Payments product into clear technical plans.
  • Lead the team in delivering technical solutions quickly and safely.
  • Guide technical decisions, challenge assumptions, and represent the team confidently.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Payments product and maintain knowledge of payments domain.
  • Maintain and improve automated test processes across the team.
  • Adopt new tools, techniques, and AI to raise the quality and pace of delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the team’s capability, building high‑performance software development teams.
  • Act as a growth‑mindset coach and mentor for direct reports.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not‑for‑profit, in‑person college/university.
  • 10+ years of development experience.
  • Experience in web‑based and database technologies.
  • Solid web development and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET, and SQL/Postgres.
  • Experience developing Server‑Side Rendered and Single‑Page Web Applications.
  • Experience in fast‑paced Agile Scrum environments.
  • Understanding and implementation of automated test processes.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (direct reports, peers, senior management).
  • Excellent team‑building, negotiation, and consensus‑building abilities.
  • Ability to motivate and build high‑performance software development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ year of team leadership experience managing direct reports.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2/ECS/S3/RDS/SQS/Aurora/Lambda).
  • Experience with Redis.
  • Commercial Real‑Estate knowledge.
