Software Test Engineer – IGEMS/MICT

Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is currently seeking a primarily remote Software Test Engineer to join our team for an exciting and long‑term program supporting IGEMS and MICT projects.

The Software Test Engineer will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through functional and regression testing.
Responsibilities- Conduct functional testing to verify that software features work as intended.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new updates do not introduce issues in existing functionality.
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on system requirements.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using issue-tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other team members to clarify requirements, test results, and defects.
- Participate in test planning, reviews, and process improvement discussions.
- This position does not require programming skills, but a solid understanding of software functionality and a keen eye for detail are essential.
- Candidate must be U.S. Citizen
- Candidate must have Active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum
- Candidate must have bachelor's Degree
- Candidate must have ability to obtain and maintain US government Common Access Card (CAC)
- Candidate must be able to obtain SIPRNet access and willing to travel to and access SIPR facilities as required
- Candidate must have 7+ years' experience with the following:
- Software testing methodologies, including functional and regression testing.
- Writing clear and concise test cases and bug reports.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically about software behavior.
- Working with test management tools and issue-tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Test Rail, or similar).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with manual testing techniques and understanding of test automation (though coding is not required).
- Experience testing web-based applications.
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with IGEMS and MICT.
- Preference for a candidate local to Dayton OH, Montgomery AL, or Albuquerque NM
