About the Role
We are hiring a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join our growing team developing Ninja One’s automated endpoint management suite of software products, trusted by over 40,000 customers globally. You will develop high‑impact software products used daily by IT teams and MSPs to monitor, manage, and secure endpoints laborating in a fast‑paced, agile environment with Software Engineers, Product Designers, and Product Managers, you will implement design patterns and tackle enterprise‑level software challenges in a startup culture, enabling product impact and building software that runs on millions of endpoints.
Location:
Remote work based in the USA (CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA) or hybrid at Austin, TX or Tampa, FL.
Stack: C++, Java, Kotlin, Golang, Postgres with Linux/Windows/macOS.
What You’ll be Doing- C++ Software Development: design and implement scalable features, enhance platform performance, and support critical functionality across our core product suite.
- Quality Assurance: build and implement robust testing and quality assurance processes to ensure software reliability and performance.
- Committing Code and Shipping Products: deliver code with high quality and reliability.
- Other Duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field.
- 7+ years of C++ development experience, with proficiency in C++14 or newer.
- Experience developing for Windows, Unix (Linux), Mac and cross‑platform environments.
- Expertise in designing and implementing high‑performance, multi‑threaded applications.
- Ability to develop comprehensive test cases and test plans, ensuring thorough coverage of all functional requirements.
- Collaboration with cross‑functional teams to define technical requirements.
- Expertise in Windows or Linux Operating Systems Internals.
- Proficiency working with tools like Qt and CMake.
- Experience working with highly critical systems.

- Due to operational policies, Ninja One is unable to hire for this role within the city limits of Chicago. Candidates must reside outside Chicago or be willing to self‑relocate.
Starting pay will depend on location, market demand, experience, and other job‑related factors. For roles based in California, Colorado, Maryland, New Jersey, or Washington, the base salary range is $150,000 to $220,000 per year. For New York, the range is also $150,000 to $220,000 per year.
