Remote Full-Stack Engineer - Kodiak Finance

Kodiak is a flagship DeFi application built on Berachain and part of the inaugural class of the Build-A-Bera incubator. Our products reimagine how users trade and interact on-chain. Our product suite encompasses the following DeFi layers to facilitate the launch, trading, and liquidity provisioning of any asset on Berachain:

- Decentralized Exchange (Kodiak DEX): this platform provides users with a non-custodial, highly capital-efficient trading and liquidity provision experience powered by both concentrated and full-range AMMs.

- Automated Liquidity Manager (Kodiak Islands): attracting liquidity deposits through our set-and-forget automated concentrated liquidity strategy vaults.

- Integrated Incentive Layer (Sweetened Islands): tapping into Berachain’s PoL mechanism to sustainably incentivize liquidity for Kodiak Islands.

- No-Code Token Deployer Factory (Panda Factory): facilitating the permissionless deployment of new tokens (e.g., memecoins)

- Kodiak Validator: maintaining and supporting the overall security and value flow of Berachain.

We are looking for a talented Full-Stack Engineer to join our core team. As an early stage core contributor, you will work with the engineering team to maintain and automate our existing product stack in a production environment, as well as collaborating with the product team to rapidly iterate and drive new product development. This role suits someone with previous experience in DeFi protocols, comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, and ready to collaborate with an experienced engineering team.

- Develop and maintain web applications (dapps) for the DEX and related products.

- Ensure the security and reliability of the platform in mainnet production environment.

- Implement and test Solidity smart contracts (writing net new smart contract code preferred, but not required).

- Collaborate with the product team to define and implement new features.

- Optimize code for performance and maintainability.

- 1+ years of engineering experience in DeFi (specifically, Ethereum / EVM).

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).

- Strong experience with ethers.js and other related web3 front-end (Wagmi, Viem, Rainbow kit).

- Experience with smart-contract development tools such as Foundry and Hardhat.

- Solidity / EVM smart contract development experience.

- Familiarity with back-end tools (subgraph, AWS, etc).

- DeFi power-user / contributor to open-source projects.
