Position Overview

Software Engineer – Server Side

Tealium is looking for a Software Engineer to design and implement software solutions that solve real-time, customer data delivery challenges. You will work with a team of engineers and architects specialized in Java, frontend, QA, Dev Ops, and architecture, contributing to innovative projects such as Platform Rate Limiter, Data Cloud Profile Manager, and Tealium Functions, and helping develop new core components.

• Collaborate with other software engineers, architects, Dev Ops, and Product Managers
• Work with modern Java frameworks to design, develop, test, and own scalable applications
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM process
• Contribute to architectural design decisions, test plans and operational related discussions
• Conduct and participate in group code reviews to ensure high-quality code standards across the team
• Evaluate and investigate alternatives to existing solutions, propose new designs and technologies

• BS, MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• 3+ years Java development experience using a modern Java framework. Spring, Quarkus
• Experience with No
  
  SQL, as well as relational data stores. DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Mysql, RedshiftDB, Redis, Cassandra, Snowflake, etc
• Understanding and experience to distributed messaging and streaming technologies, RabbitMQ, Kinesis, Kafka
• Understanding of modern Devops concepts. Docker, Kubernetes, Serverless, Terraform
• Experience deploying software to a cloud platform environment; AWS, GCP, Azure
• Desire to learn new technologies
• Strong knowledge of modern software engineering principles, patterns and best-practices
• Understanding of micro-services architectures
• Understand the design and supporting high traffic, highly available systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to team members, architects and team leads
