Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
Designs, develops, and maintains complex software solutions for Avum's government applications. Provides technical leadership through mentoring, code review, and architectural guidance.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and application features (Java, Spring Boot)
- Lead code quality through peer reviews, best practices enforcement, and documentation
- Troubleshoot and resolve production/pre-production issues with root cause analysis
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers on technical skills and best practices
- Serve as technical point of contact for cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technology evaluation
- Support deployment, performance optimization, and technical debt reduction
The salary range for this position is $115,000 – $160,000 annually, with a target midpoint of $138,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic location. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
7+ years of software development experience
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and enterprise application development
Experience with Agile/Scrum development practices
Preferred Qualifications- Master's degree in CS
- Experience with Appian low-code platform
