Java Developer - Remote in Virginia

Accountabilities:

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, and deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure software applications
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture
• Work on integration tasks involving REST APIs, Docker containers, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Contribute to front-end development using JavaScript or related technologies when required
• Support and enhance existing applications and troubleshoot issues effectively
• Apply best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related fields
• Proficiency in Java and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, Docker, and CI/CD tools
• Exposure to front-end languages like JavaScript or C++ is a plus
• Hands-on project experience, whether academic or professional, showcasing your development capabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-driven, curious, and committed to continuous technical learning

Bonus for candidates with additional experience in:

• Python, Machine Learning, or Data Science tools such as SAS, Tableau, or Power BI
