What We’re Doing
We’re developing mission critical Battle Management and Command & Control capabilities for a complete Command and Control mission suite. Our solution offers an open architecture and customizable mission apps, enabling customers to integrate tools into a single CommandIQ® Common Operating Picture (COP) to meet specialized mission requirements.
The WorkCommandIQ® is seeking a software engineer to join an agile development team. In this role, you will:
- Decompose higher-level roadmap features into actionable work items
- Design, implement, and integrate/test software features
- Perform peer reviews for fellow software engineers and debug issues as they arise
- Participate in technical discussions to define and solve overarching software architecture needs
- Collaborate with cross‑functional peers to better understand project requirements and customer/stakeholder needs
Location:
Candidates local to Colorado Springs, CO or King of Prussia, PA are preferred. Strong candidates who exceptionally match the roles and responsibilities may be considered for a fully‑remote work schedule.
- Experience or familiarity with Rust (or
C), Python, and Java - Exposure to backend containerization concepts using Docker
- Exposure/familiarity with gRPC for framework development
- Knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and direct experience working within some stages
- 1+ years of relevant work experience or an advanced degree in Computer Science
- Experience in Agile Methodologies & Tools
- Experience working across the full SDLC
- Experience with container management using Kubernetes/Helm
- Experience in a full‑stack engineering role
- Experience with Git Lab CI/CD
- Development experience following REST guidelines
- Previous IRAD experience
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret
Work Schedules- Part‑time remote telework: selected employee will work part of the schedule remotely and part at a Lockheed Martin facility.
- Schedule range: 4x10‑hour day, 3 days off per week.
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $76,500 – $134,895. For other states, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
