Appian Developer- Remote

ICF is actively seeking a Junior Appian Developer with a strong interest in building efficient, scalable application solutions to join our development team. The role supports the design, development, and maintenance of Appian applications under the guidance of senior developers and architects, requiring initiative, a solid technical foundation, and a commitment to achieving Appian certification.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze and understand business and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, configure, and deploy Appian applications in accordance with project specifications.
• Build workflows, interfaces, and data integrations using Appian Process Modeler and related platform components.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and specifications for Appian solutions.
• Support the development of custom components or Java plug‑ins as required.
• Work closely with architects and senior developers to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance guidelines.
• Conduct unit testing and support system and integration testing activities.
• Identify, document, and remediate defects, bugs, and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Stay current with Appian platform updates, features, and industry best practices.
• Participate in training, mentoring, and knowledge‑sharing sessions to expand technical skills and platform expertise.
• Communicate effectively with business analysts, project managers, developers, and end users.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment to support successful project delivery.

• 2+ years of professional experience on large technical projects.
• 1+ year(s) of hands‑on Appian experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• U.S. citizenship or Green Card required by federal government for this position.
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Must reside in the United States and work will be performed in the United States (federal contract requirement).

• Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Working knowledge of Java programming for Appian custom plugins.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Appian certification or a defined target date to obtain certification for experienced developers new to Appian.
