The RoleWe’re looking for a senior software engineer who enjoys working directly with clients
, not just writing code. This is a part‑time, fully remote contractor role where you’ll act as the bridge between clients and our engineering team. You’ll lead conversations, clarify requirements, and ensure everyone stays aligned – from non‑technical stakeholders to developers. This role is ideal if you want to stay close to real‑world software projects while avoiding the demands of a full‑time engineering position.
You’ll Do
- Join client video calls (discovery, progress updates, follow‑ups)
- Ask the right questions to clarify requirements and define scope
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable tasks for developers
- Explain technical concepts, decisions, and trade‑offs in simple terms
- Write concise meeting notes and define next steps
- Proactively communicate timelines, risks, and blockers
- Support light pre‑sales conversations and identify growth opportunities
- Build strong, long‑term relationships with clients
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar technical role
- Strong understanding of modern development (web, APIs, cloud, mobile)
- Fluent English (spoken and written), comfortable leading client calls
- Ability to translate between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working with US‑based clients and time zones
- Highly organized, reliable, and proactive communicator
- Able to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Experience working with US‑based clients
- Background in customer success, account management, or pre‑sales
- Experience in Fin Tech, eCommerce, or AI‑related projects

Compensation: USD $80–120/hour (contract), ~5–10 hours/week depending on client demand
