Tech Data Engineer

10 is seeking a Tech Data Engineer for a contract position located in Eden Prairie, MN, with 100% remote work available.

• Perform all phases of software engineering: requirements analysis, application design, code development, and testing.
• Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
• Develop and test reusable frameworks, libraries, Java and Big Data components.
• Collaborate closely with the Architecture group to drive technical solutions.
• Innovate in solution design and development to meet business needs.
• Address performance issues and design solutions to achieve low latency.
• Use Big Data technologies to enrich, transform data, and conduct data analytics.
• Support implementation and lead it to a stable state in production.
• Provide alternative design solutions with project estimates.
• Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and performance improvement.
• Troubleshoot production support issues post‑deployment and propose solutions.
• Demonstrate depth of knowledge in Big Data and Java development.
• Provide automated solutions using Agile framework and Dev Ops model.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration systems.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project timelines.
• Apply Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with technical and business teams.

• 5+ years of IT experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Unix experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop ecosystem: Spark/Scala, Hive, HBase, HDFS, Map Reduce, Oozie & Air Flow).
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with cloud technologies such as Azure.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL.
• 2+ years of experience with Kafka, Python, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.

Hourly W2 pay rate $60.00–$62.00.
