Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated entry-level Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities- Create data extracts and infrastructure to support the Business Intelligence Reporting teams.
- Build, maintain, and document code used to transform, aggregate, and present data.
- Learn and apply the tools and techniques employed in designing and implementing data engineering solutions.
- Develop an understanding of our data sources and data flows.
- Effectively communicate with other employees through verbal and written means.
- Participate in both formal and informal training sessions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or another related technical field is required.
- High aptitude for mathematics and statistics.
- Actuarial studies and exams are considered but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL, Python or other programming/database/statistical languages.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Above average communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to adapt to constant change and innovation.
