Join the Calibre Semi R&D Team at Siemens EDA

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher and software developer to develop a simulation platform for semiconductor manufacturing solutions (including process and device simulations, DTCO), preferably with expertise in high‑performance scientific computing – numerical algorithms, linear/PDE solvers, computational geometry, distributed processing, GPU acceleration – and semiconductor domain knowledge.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following education and experience:

  • PhD with 3+ years or MS with 8+ years of research/industry experience in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc.).
  • Expertise in:
    Scientific computing (numerical algorithms such as FEM/FD/FVM), eigen/linear/PDE solvers, convex optimization, computational geometry, computer graphics.
  • High-performance computing:
    Distributed processing, OpenMPI, GPU acceleration, CUDA ecosystems.
  • Programming skills:
    Proficiency in C/C++, CUDA, Python, Code Copilot.
  • AI/ML applications:
    Leveraging AI/ML to accelerate problem‑solving processes.
  • Semiconductor knowledge (preferred but not required):
    Basic semiconductor process (photolithography, etch, deposition, CMP) and semiconductor device physics.
