Remote Fullstack Developer

Job Description

• Maintain and enhance the existing ILM web application (legacy stack)
• Heavily contribute to the backend: .NET/C#, SQL Server, API development
• Support legacy UI work in AngularJS/JavaScript/HTML/CSS as needed
• Build a new React UI from scratch for a new “permanent fund” investment workflow
• Migrate selected functionality from AngularJS → React following established patterns
• Implement end-to-end features: new UI → API endpoint(s) → database/data retrieval
• Collaborate in a small, fast‑moving team:
  • Jose (Lead Developer) – direct reporting / technical lead
  • 1 additional developer, 1 BA, 1 dedicated QA, plus oversight from Brett
• Work in 2‑week sprints, switching between maintenance and new build priorities quickly
• Use Cursor daily to research unfamiliar areas of the codebase, accelerate implementation, and ensure quality through careful review/testing

Pay range for this position is $60/hr - $75/hr

• React experience building modern UIs (must be hands‑on, not just exposure)
• Strong .NET / C# backend development (able to be independently productive)
• Strong SQL Server skills (SSMS, queries, troubleshooting, performance basics)
• Experience building/maintaining REST APIs (ASP.NET Web API / ASP.NET Core preferred)
• Experience supporting production enterprise applications (maintenance, enhancements, ops)
• Frontend fundamentals:
  JavaScript, HTML, CSS (able to work in a legacy UI as needed)
• Experience working in Agile (2‑week sprints) and collaborating closely with a small team
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted development daily (specifically Cursor IDE) and validating/owning all AI‑generated code
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills; can take a feature from requirements to implementation
• Type Script strength (especially within React codebases)
• AngularJS 1.x maintenance experience (legacy frontend support)
• Experience migrating AngularJS → React in production
• Experience with AWS / cloud deployments (even if no microservices)
• Hybrid environment exposure: on‑prem + cloud applications
• Private Equity / investments / fund administration domain exposure
• Familiarity with legacy .NET ecosystem tools (helpful, not required): , NHibernate, Hangfire, SignalR 2.x
• React testing exposure:
  Vitest, React Testing Library; .NET testing: MSTest + Moq
