Lead Software Engineer

Position Summary

Lead Software Engineer at Alliant Credit Union in Chicago, IL.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (or foreign equivalent).
• 8+ years of related experience.

• Analyze legacy system architecture and performance metrics to recommend and plan modernization strategies using C#, .NET Framework, MVC, .NET Core, Azure Dev Ops, REST and Web API (5+ years).
• Analyze business needs and develop software solutions for public or internal use to optimize member experience, system stability and operational efficiency (2+ years).
• Assess business requirements and technical constraints to design and deploy secure, high-performance systems using C#, Entity Framework Core, and RESTful APIs (5+ years).
• Apply knowledge of the financial industry with Symitar API (Sym Xchange / Sym Connect) and platforms such as Episys/Symitar and languages such as Power On/Rep Gen (1+ year).
• Conduct detailed analysis of system interactions to determine technical solutions and resolve problems that are cost effective and consistent with user needs, system capacities and capabilities (5+ years).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades, leveraging Splunk, Log Insight, Grafana for monitoring and performance validation (1+ year).
• Lead the transformation of outdated applications by analyzing system bottlenecks and implementing modern development practices using Agile methodology and Azure Dev Ops (5+ years).

3 days per week remote work allowed; must live within a normal commuting distance of Chicago, IL.
