Atimi is seeking an experienced backend software developer to fill a position in Canada. This is a fully remote position with EST working hours, open to candidates from all provinces.
As a senior backend developer, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable web and mobile services, working closely with clients, partners, and internal teams.
Responsibilities- Proactive collaboration in the project team to help develop the product using your experience to guide the team through the entire development lifecycle.
- Ensuring code quality and governance.
- Ensuring engineers follow any patterns/designs set out and agreed with project leads.
- Planning, estimating, and contributing to architecture, coding, and development.
- Refactoring and continuous improvement of the codebases.
- Communicating technical decisions and information thoroughly to the global team.
- Taking responsibility for releases and contributing to ongoing support of live apps.
- Participating in deployment and operation of the software (Dev Ops).
- Delivering fair outcomes for our customers, ensuring professionalism at all times.
- Strong Java development experience (8+ years).
- Experience with AWS cloud environment (6+ years).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience building scalable software services (serverless, microservices).
- Strong OOD skills; knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Strong database modeling skills; experience with relational and No
SQL databases. - Experience working directly with clients and other project stakeholders to define and refine requirements.
- Strong English skills (written and verbal).
- Typescript experience.
- Python experience.
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Location:
Must be located in Canada. Relocation support is not provided.
Compensation:
Salary ranges between $160,000 and $210,000 per annum based on experience and interview performance.
