Overview

The Product Engineering Software (PES) Quality Engineering co‑op will apply academic knowledge to address real‑world challenges and improve testing infrastructure.

Baseline Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate at the University of Cincinnati
  • Authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship
  • Preferred sophomore or pre‑junior status

Responsibilities

  • Learn PES software needs and functionality
  • Collaborate with the applications team to understand requirements and priorities
  • Design, develop, and maintain testing frameworks applicable across multiple application areas
  • Draft design and coding documentation for future development expansion
  • Participate in reviews of requirements and specifications in support of project planning

Organization Requirements

  • Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Knowledgeable in object‑oriented concepts
  • Write clean, robust, and maintainable code
  • Proactive, capable of setting own timelines, able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Committed to continuous improvement through learning new programming languages and evolving coding practices
  • Independent thinker and self‑motivated
  • Exceptional communication skills

Benefits

  • Hourly pay range: $18‑$50 per hour, based on projected graduation year and experience
  • Eligible for Siemens 401 k program
