Sr. Data Scientist – Demand Forecasting (O9 Platform) – Global Supply Chain/COE
Work Location:
Marlborough, MA (hybrid)
In-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday, with optional remote work on Mondays and Fridays. The schedule may vary with business needs.
What you will be doing- Design and implement advanced analytics and machine learning solutions to solve supply chain and planning problems.
- Apply techniques such as clustering, regression, ensemble learning, neural networks, and time series modeling.
- Develop and optimize models for demand forecasting, anomaly detection, optimization (heuristics, linear programming, genetic algorithms), and simulation.
- Leverage AI/ML advancements to drive business value.
- Analyze complex problems, evaluate alternative approaches, and communicate results with clear assumptions.
- Work with business metrics such as Forecast Accuracy, Bias, and MAPE; create new metrics as needed.
- Build and optimize modules for real‑time integration with external systems via web services.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, architects, consultants, and data engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
- Transparent and proactive communication style.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, economics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data science or analytics with hands‑on time‑series forecasting at scale.
- Strong experience with forecasting methods such as exponential smoothing, ARIMA, Prophet, and custom model tuning.
- Experience in supply‑chain analytics (demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, pricing, market intelligence).
- Solid proficiency in Python and/or R.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, feature engineering, and model optimization.
- Experience building scalable ML frameworks and working with large datasets.
- Authorized to work full‑time in the United States.
- Experience in retail, CPG, or manufacturing.
Base pay range: $103,000 – $130,000 annually (Massachusetts). Actual salaries vary by location, experience, skill level, and performance.
