Job Title:
Shopify Full Stack Developer (Node/Type Script)

Location: Remote - prefer EST

Type: Contract

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with strong proficiency in Node.js and Type Script to join our growing e-commerce development team. This role requires deep experience with the Shopify ecosystem and a strong understanding of building scalable backend systems using GraphQL, REST APIs, and AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Shopify storefronts, custom apps, and backend integrations
• Build scalable server-side applications using Node.js and Type Script
• Design and implement GraphQL and REST API integrations
• Manage data migrations and ensure data integrity during transitions
• Architect and implement efficient job queuing and asynchronous task strategies
• Develop and deploy Shopify functions and extensions to enhance store capabilities
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, QA, and product

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience in Node.js and Type Script in production environments
• Proven expertise with Shopify, including theme customization and app development
• Solid background working with GraphQL and REST APIs
• Familiarity with AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with data migration strategies in e-commerce platforms
• Ability to implement job queues and asynchronous processing strategies
• Experience with Shopify Functions and Extensions (Hydrogen/Remix a plus)

Preferred:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Understanding of e-commerce workflows and best practices
