We are currently looking for a Platform Engineer in Israel.
As a Platform Engineer, you will own the infrastructure that powers the next generation of financial connectivity for SMEs across Europe. This is a high‑impact role where you will bridge the gap between regulated financial infrastructure and modern software engineering, moving beyond mere maintenance to actively designing systems from scratch. You will work in a "distributed-first" environment, collaborating with a world‑class team to build CI/CD pipelines, cloud systems, and AI integrations that enhance the developer experience.
Your mission is to remove technical bottlenecks and raise the bar for security and observability in a fast‑scaling fintech ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity for a pragmatic problem‑solver to have a direct say in how software is built and delivered globally.
- Infrastructure Orchestration:
Architect and manage robust cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS and Kubernetes to ensure high availability and scalability of financial services. - Developer Experience & Tooling:
Build and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, internal platforms, and developer tools to streamline the path from code to production. - System Ownership:
Own production systems end-to-end, taking responsibility for everything from initial design decisions to proactive incident response and resolution. - Cross-Functional Partnership:
Partner with product and business teams to identify technical friction points and implement solutions that allow the organization to ship features faster. - Standards & Security:
Evaluate and integrate new services while maintaining rigorous engineering standards for security, observability, and system reliability.
- Technical Proficiency:
Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration, specifically using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS. - Coding Standards:
Ability to write clean, maintainable code; while the stack primarily uses Kotlin and Type Script, a strong foundational command of software engineering principles is essential. - Pragmatic Problem Solving: A focus on finding the simplest, most effective solutions to complex problems rather than the most "impressive" or over‑engineered ones.
- Communication
Skills:
Excellent ability to explain complex technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders and collaborate seamlessly across distributed teams. - Growth Mindset: A strong desire to stretch your capabilities beyond a repetitive daily routine and a track record of driving projects from initial idea to full production.
- Experience (Bonus):
Previous exposure to financial services, payment systems, or regulated environments, as well as experience managing microservices on the JVM runtime.
- Remote-First Flexibility: A truly "distributed-first" culture that allows you to work productively from your preferred location.
- Modern Tooling:
Access to premium hardware and software to ensure maximum productivity, including MacOS and advanced AI coding assistants like Claude Code. - Work-Life Balance:
Generous time off with 30 days of annual leave to ensure you stay refreshed and energized. - Financial Upside:
Meaningful equity opportunities that allow you to share in the long‑term success and growth of the company. - Supportive Setup: A dedicated home office stipend to help you create an ergonomic and efficient remote workspace.
- Inclusive Culture:
An open-minded and transparent environment featuring regular All-Hands meetings, "Brown Bag" lunches, and team offsites.
