This is a remote position.

• Estimates and completes development tasks including coding, requirements gathering, and analysis with minimal feedback and guidance from the team.
• Practices technical and communication skills to improve context knowledge and mentor junior developers.
• Assesses and diagnoses issues with the systems they own, prioritizing problem areas based on alignment with other practice areas.
• Participates in on‑call rotations with their team as necessary.
• Presents on and writes about their work to both internal and external parties.
• Participates in planning sessions, building an understanding of major architectures and design patterns.
• Supports recruiting efforts by evaluating homework assignments and potentially assisting with interviews.
• Exhibits influential skills to drive improvements in team engineering processes and practices.
• Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of the business, how practices interact, and the customer problems being solved.

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Expert experience with Ruby on Rails, API Design & Development.
• Experience with React/Redux, JavaScript, HTML & CSS.
• Experience with Postman, Datadog and RSpec.
• Experience responding to and triaging production issues.

• Prior government contracting experience.
• Experience with VA Systems.

Compensation range: $120,000 – $135,000.
