Location:
Lafayette, Louisiana - On location at the Client’s site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work.

IV Type: phone/skype – LOOKING NATIONWIDE

Salary: $57,750 to $90,000

Must: ESRI GIS application development experience (3+ years)

Our Client, an engineering company, is looking for a GIS Developer in Lafayette, Louisiana

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Design, develop, document, and test ESRI-based GIS Desktop applications in support of business requirements;
• Lead requirements gathering and design efforts with little/no supervision;
• Interface with in-house custom built software applications and file formats;
• Participate in ongoing software development process improvement;
• Work closely with project stakeholders to gain an understanding of requirements/design and provide input from a software development perspective;
• Work both as a team leader and independently on complex tasks to maintain project timelines and budgets;
• Formulate and conduct training sessions and teaching materials for propagating GIS knowledge throughout the organization;
• Guide, coach, and mentor junior members of the team;
• Perform all other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
