Position: AI Principal Engineer (Remote)

Conexess Group is aiding a large healthcare client in their search for an AI Principal Engineer in a remote capacity. This is a direct hire opportunity with a competitive compensation package.

The Principal Engineer will be spearheading the development of a cutting-edge Agentic AI platform that leverages our healthcare RCM data lakehouse to revolutionize revenue cycle workflows through autonomous, intelligent agents.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and build a scalable Agentic AI framework specifically for RCM workflows.
Design autonomous agents capable of handling complex revenue cycle tasks (denial management, contract analysis, eligibility verification).
Establish orchestration patterns for agent collaboration across different RCM business functions.
Implement robust guardrails and validation mechanisms for AI decision-making in financial contexts.
Build reusable components that accelerate agent development for new RCM use cases.
Create specialized tools for training and fine-tuning AI models on healthcare financial data.
Lead distributed engineering teams across onshore and offshore location.

Requirements and Qualifications

Proven track record building production AI systems handling financial transactions.
Deep expertise in LLM orchestration frameworks and agent architectures.
Experience applying AI to structured financial workflows with explicit business rules.
History of scaling complex software platforms across multiple business lines.
Strong background leading distributed development teams.
Success implementing systems that integrate with healthcare financial platform.
Advanced knowledge of LLM orchestration and RAG implementations.
Experience with agent frameworks (AutoGPT, Lang Chain, etc.)
Expertise in prompt engineering for specialized domains.
Strong software architecture skills focused on scalability and modularity.
Ability to build systems that maintain context across multi-step workflows.
Understanding of healthcare data security requirements.

Special Considerations and Prerequisites

7-10 years' experience full stack development and 2 years' experience developing Agentic AI.

Ability to translate abstract AI capabilities into concrete RCM solutions
Experience managing mixed onshore/offshore development teams
Track record of delivering complex platforms that scale across business units
