Service Now SPM Developer
Location – North Carolina, US (Remote work is also fine, but the candidate must be able to go to the office when required)
Note:

Role Overview
The Service Now Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-scale solutions on the Service Now platform, enabling organizations to align strategy, execution, and outcomes. They work across full-stack layers to deliver scalable, high-performing digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & implement solutions using Service Now SPM (ITBM) modules
- Build and customize UI using Service Portal, UI Builder, Angular/React
- Develop backend components:
- Business Rules
- Script Includes
- Flow Designer
- REST/SOAP APIs
- Architect full-stack solutions ensuring performance, scalability & security
- Enable end-to-end Demand → Delivery → Value realization workflows
- Configure SPM modules:
- Demand Management
- Project & Portfolio Management (PPM)
- Resource Management
- Financial Planning
- Application Portfolio Management (APM)
- Develop integrations with external systems (Jira, Azure Dev Ops, REST APIs)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines & Dev Ops practices
- Build dashboards, KPIs, and portfolio analytics
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and product owners
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8+ years overall experience (typically 6+ for senior roles)
- Strong hands-on experience in Service Now SPM / ITBM
- Technical skills:
- JavaScript, Glide Script
- HTML, CSS, AngularJS/React
- REST/SOAP, Integration Hub, MID Server
- Experience with:
- Agile / SAFe / Waterfall methodologies
- CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Dev Ops)
- Strong understanding of:
- Portfolio & Program management
- Demand & Capacity planning
- Financial modeling / cost management
- Knowledge of platform architecture (UI, logic, data layer)
Certifications
- Service Now CSA
