As a Senior Engineer on the Core Platform team at Reddit, you will play a vital role in scaling and maintaining the Core API Platform, which handles millions of requests daily. You'll be a technical leader, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring the high uptime and performance of our systems. You will contribute to the roadmap, build features for real-time experiences, and directly impact hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

• Develop innovative solutions to scale Reddit's platform.
• Build scalable platform API projects for the entire organization.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Build, deliver, and operate highly available services (5+ 9's availability).
• Optimize Reddit’s media experience for global users.

• Software development experience in Golang or Python.
• 5+ years of experience with large-scale, mission-critical distributed systems.
• Experience optimizing media performance, scalability, and delivery.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with API platform service architectures.
• Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
