Position: Agile Developer 3-8812-OL Information Technology Hanover, MD

Position Overview

To be considered for this position you must have an active TS/SCI with full scope polygraph security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsible for the full stack development of cloud based applications and microservices.

Desired Skills
  • Familiar with spring, Kubernetes, docker, Terraform, Swagger, and AWS managed services. System requirements decomposition, release planning, CI/CD, test frameworks and automation, and Agile methodology. Familiar with FOSS & GOTS.

    Experience:

    Demonstrated one (1) year of full stack development; front‑end, API and backing data stores. Experience with Spring Boot microservices, 12‑Factor applications, serialization such as JSON and/or BSON, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Design, code, debug, and modify software to add new features, correct defects, and improve performance.
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
  • Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
  • Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.
  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
  • Write or review software and system documentation.
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, consulting with users or system engineers, analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes, and investigating problem areas.
  • Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project.
  • Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
  • Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries.
Requirements

A bachelor’s degree plus nine (9) years of relevant experience or a master’s degree plus seven (7) years of relevant experience. An associate’s degree plus eleven (11) years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus thirteen (13) years of experience may be considered for individuals with in‑depth experience that is clearly related to the position. Certifications count as a year of experience.

  • Java, JavaScript frameworks (React), Gitlab, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and modern data stores (No

    SQL, Relational, Object).
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. The degree can be waived for technical experience in domain skillsets outlined in the requisition posting.
  • Proficiency in software development process, programming, software quality through tools and processes, developing software solutions, designing, developing, modifying code to support system requirements, and assisting in developing innovative approaches.
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate’s work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
