Program Overview

The Fall 2026 Strategic Student Program (SSP) offers co‑ops and interns a chance to apply education to solve real‑world problems and turn theory into practice. The program seeks to empower students to become future leaders within the company.

Technology & Innovation Office (T&I)

The T&I office undertakes high‑tech research and design, providing shared platforms, architecture, and innovation services. Project assignments vary and often include:

  • Partnering with senior design engineers to develop, modify, and implement software programs
  • Researching and developing innovative algorithms to address business challenges
  • Creating documentation from independent research findings, including white papers
  • Expanding the current software portfolio into new areas
  • Investigating concepts such as Knowledge Graphs, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI / Machine Learning, Quantum Computing, and other emerging topics
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior design engineers and cross‑functional teams on software development projects.
  • Contribute to the research, design, implementation, testing, and documentation of software solutions.
  • Conduct independent research on emerging technologies and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled as a University of Cincinnati undergraduate student, expected to graduate in 2028.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Upper‑classman preferred, with prior co‑op experience.
  • Strong knowledge of object‑oriented programming, classes, and inheritance.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and capable of setting timelines and working independently.
  • Fast learner, adaptable to new tasks, with strong troubleshooting and creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Hourly pay ranging from $18 to $50, based on projected graduation year and other factors.
