Software Developer – Siemens EDA
Job Location:
Santa Clara, CA (or Bay Area, Wilsonville, OR or other).
Siemens EDA is a global technology leader in Electronic Design Automation software. Our software tools enable companies worldwide to develop innovative electronic products faster and more cost‑effectively.
We are looking for an addition to our team of software developers who design, implement, and enhance a platform for the Calibre Resolution Enhancement Technology (RET) and Inverse Lithography (ILT) tools running on highly scalable distributed platforms. This position reports to the Calibre Semi ILT R&D manager.
Responsibilities- Develop novel solutions to complex problems
- Present detailed technical proposals for discussions with peers and management
- Implement high quality production‑ready software in C++
- Perform detailed, quantitative analysis of performance and quality of the software
- Improve the performance of massively parallel and highly scalable software platform
- Research existing work in the field and applicable fields
- Create regression tests and regularly monitor the software performance and quality
- Quickly fix bugs in production software
- BSEE, MSEE/MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with at least 3 years software development experience
- Implement object oriented software in C++
- Comfortably navigate a large software source base and produce novel solutions
- Good knowledge and experience developing highly optimized scalable distributed systems in C++
- Solid understanding of Linux software development
- Solid understanding of Computer Science and computer systems concepts and algorithms
- Working in the EDA, specifically with lithography and optical proximity correction software
- Experience developing features for large software systems
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under ITAR and/or EAR. Employment is contingent on verifying U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
