Overview
Department of Management – Division of Information Technology (DoIT) seeks highly skilled Senior .NET Developers to join our team.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute within a mission‑focused organization, supporting Department of Education applications and stakeholders through a comprehensive suite of data collection and reporting tools.
As a vital member of the team, you will play a key role in advancing our Dev Ops initiatives and delivering secure, high‑quality technical solutions for our customers.
The position involves close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to enhance development practices and automate pipelines that accommodate substantial data volumes.
This remote position requires attendance during standard business hours Monday through Friday, with on‑site presence strongly preferred.
Responsibilities- Design and implement scalable Dev Ops processes to support the development and deployment of enterprise‑level applications.
- Lead automation, CI/CD, and cloud technology initiatives, including centralizing code repositories within Git Hub or Azure Dev Ops to streamline workflows.
- Evaluate and enhance coding practices by integrating automated scanning tools to uphold rigorous standards of code quality and security.
- Proactively manage technical debt and drive continuous improvement throughout development cycles.
- Optimize processes related to code branching, merging, and releasing to ensure seamless and efficient deployments.
- Automate build and deployment workflows to minimize manual intervention and maximize operational efficiency.
- Enhance unit and integration test coverage to guarantee reliability and performance of applications.
- Demonstrate proficiency in .NET Core, applying structured, pattern‑based development practices for complex logic implementations.
- Security practices (secure coding, static code analysis, data protection/encryption, etc.)
- Automated testing and documentation, Test‑Driven Development, gating deployments
- T‑SQL language skills with MS SQL
- Code quality and security scanning tools
- Code branching, merging, and release process optimization
