NMSU Conference Services is seeking a Support Astronomer to operate the 2.5‑m telescope nightly, including remote control, data-stream monitoring, and collaboration with astronomers and students to optimize observing efficiency. Qualified candidates hold an Associate’s Degree with 4+ years of experience or a Bachelor’s with 2+ years, with Master’s or PhD preferred.
Strong Unix/Linux, IRAF, Python/IDL, and telescope instrumentation experience are desired.
