** As a Software Engineering Advisor, you will play a critical role in building and optimizing scalable data solutions that enable accurate, timely insights across eviCore. This role combines hands-on engineering with collaboration across teams to ensure high-quality, trusted data fuels business and clinical outcomes.
** Responsibilities
* ** Design and build scalable ETL pipelines that enable reliable data flow from source to target environments using tools such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS
* Develop and enhance dimensional data models to support analytics, reporting, and business insights
* Apply business rules through code (SQL, Python, Scala, Spark) to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across stakeholders
* Optimize and fine-tune existing data pipelines to improve performance, efficiency, and scalability
* Troubleshoot data and ETL issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact to downstream processes
* Collaborate in Agile development practices, including sprint ceremonies, peer code reviews, and quality assurance activities
* Provide production support, including on-call rotation and partnership with offshore operations teams
* Train and enable operations teams on newly developed data processes and enhancements
* Create and maintain clear documentation of data architecture, ETL processes, and data management practices
* Partner with business users to support reporting and analytics needs using tools such as Tableau, Micro Strategy, and SSRS
* Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, Cursor) to improve development efficiency and code quality
** Required Qualifications
*** 5+ years of experience building data engineering solutions in Big Data and/or cloud environments
* Strong proficiency in Spark, Python, and SQL, with hands-on experience in Databricks or similar platforms
* Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, DB2, or Oracle
* Solid understanding of data modeling, data architecture, and data governance principles
* Experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines in enterprise environments
* Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize performance across systems
* Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
* Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional and Agile teams
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Experience implementing Azure-based data solutions (ADLS, Azure Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Factory)
* Experience working with healthcare or clinical data domains
* Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Micro Strategy, or SSRS
* Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field  If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10
