Position: Software Developer 2 with Security Clearance
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Developer 2 for a hybrid contract opportunity in College Park, MD. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
* Minimum 5 years of professional software development.

* Programming

Languages:

Proficiency in C++, Java

* Front-End UI Development:
Hands-on experience building UI components with React

* API Development:
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs

* Dev Sec Ops :
Working knowledge of Agile, CI/CD (Git Lab CI, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops), Docker, Kubernetes)

* Testing:

Experience with automated testing tools.

* IDE/Tooling:
Comfortable using VSCode, Eclipse, or Net Beans.

* Linux/WSL Development:
Proficient in developing, building, and debugging applications within Linux/WSL

* Cloud:
Practical experience with AWS services.

* Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a versatile mid-level software developer (5+ years of professional experience) to join our defense-focused engineering team. The role emphasizes modern software design, API development, Dev Sec Ops  practices, and real-time/combat system projects.
* Build and enhance front-end user interfaces using React (including hooks, functional components, state management libraries)

* Design, develop, and maintain back-end services

* Implement responsive UI components and follow UI/UX best practices, integrating with design systems.

* Apply modern design patterns and UI frameworks such as React.

* Develop, test, and deploy code in a Linux/WSL environment.

* Experience with containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes.

* Write automated UI tests.

* Collaborate in Agile environment, participate in code reviews PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
* Experience with Cosmos or similar mission-planning/analysis tools.

* Experience with real-time or combat systems and associated performance constraints.
cyber-security REQUIRED EDUCATION BS degree is required. School must be accredited. HOURS 9/80A schedule. Hybrid remote work based in College Park, MD. HYB ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
