Who Are We Looking For?We want ambitious senior software engineers to develop robust, sophisticated machine‑learning and analytics solutions that create immediate business impact. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, algorithms and data structures, AWS, database technologies (Postgres, Redis), and data‑processing tools (EMR, Spark). Additionally, you should have a proven record of leading a team, delivering value, and working on product‑mode projects using Scrum.
You will own projects from concept to deployment and provide technical vision and leadership to your teammates. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
As part of Nike’s Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning team, you will build and implement scalable applications that use predictive models and optimization programs to make data‑driven business decisions. You’ll collaborate with teammates in Portland, Boston, China, and Poland to solve machine‑learning problems at scale.
What Will You Bring?- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
- Creative problem‑solving skills with an analytical approach.
- Strong ability to write stable, maintainable, and extensible Python code.
- Expertise in cloud architecture and technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services.
- Proficiency with technologies such as Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Hive, and Terraform.
- Proven skills in Agile development and test‑driven development.
- Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
- You will collaborate closely with a globally distributed team, including commercial and consumer analysis, enterprise architecture, and solution architecture.
