Job Description
TDI Technologies, Inc. is seeking candidates for a Sr. Data Scientist position. The position’s main responsibility will be to gather, format, and analyze information from Navy Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems. The position will require knowledge of machine learning methods and modeling development and training. Candidates should be comfortable working within an engineering team, designing new software solutions, and interfacing with customers.
PrincipalDuties and Responsibilities
Essential Skills
- Software development in Python
- Experience with machine learning and/or artificial intelligence frameworks such as scikit-learn, Pandas, and Num Py
- Experience with at least one of the following problem types:
Time-series classification, regression analysis, optimization, clustering - Software development and operation within Linux and Windows based systems
- Experience using version control tools such as Sub Version or Git
- Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail for documentation
- Willingness to convey technical problems and solutions to a variety of team members
- Five (5) years of experience in identifying trends and problems through complex big data analysis.
- Leading efforts to combine analysis from multiple data sources using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining independently.
- Experience architecting scalable process solutions prepared with big data, data driven Machine Learning tools such as Tensor Flow, scikit-learn, Pandas, and Num Py, Natural Language Processing, and implementing data models and developing data sources to support organizational solutions.
- Working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of naval shipboard Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical systems preferred.
- Experience with development and deployment of Docker containers
- Experience with orchestration using Kubernetes
- Experience with Dev Ops tools and practices
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with rotating machinery, industrial automation and controls, or vibrations analysis
This position may require up to approximately 5-10% travel.
LocationPhiladelphia, PA. This position will allow for some remote work but will also require attendance to in-person meetings at the Philadelphia Navy Yard offices as well as at government development and lab facilities.
