SAP Development Lead

As an SAP Platform Development Lead at delaware, you own the technical delivery of SAP development projects. You lead a team of developers working with CAP, UI5/Fiori, and ABAP Cloud. You make architecture calls, coordinate between our Belgian teams and offshore colleagues, and ensure the delivered solutions solve the customer's problem.

You stay close enough to jump into code reviews, unblock deployments, or prototype when necessary. You also discuss Clean Core strategy with customers’ IT leads and review RAP implementation with junior developers.

Beyond project delivery, you grow your people by running performance reviews, identifying development paths, and helping team members level up — whether they are learning CAP or stepping into an architecture role.

• Own technical delivery of SAP development projects.
• Lead and coach a team of developers across CAP, UI5/Fiori, and ABAP Cloud.
• Make architecture decisions and coordinate between Belgian and offshore teams.
• Ensure solutions solve business problems and meet quality standards.
• Participate in code reviews, deployments, and prototyping as needed.
• Facilitate discussions on Clean Core strategy and RAP implementation.
• Conduct performance reviews and support career development of team members.

• 7+ years of experience in SAP development with meaningful exposure to BTP‑based projects and production solutions.
• Technical breadth across CAP, UI5, and ABAP; ability to make informed technology choices.
• Strong leadership skills: experience leading teams and guiding them effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, ability to translate technical complexity into business language.
• Native Dutch or fluent Dutch; fluent English required. French is a plus.
• Supplementary knowledge of RISE with SAP, Clean Core methodology, SAP Build, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP AI core is a plus.

We have offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Lummen, Liège, and Wavre. The role may involve on‑site work at customers or remote work from home.
